Exploring what
design can become.
Exploring what design can become.
A space for experiments in AI, graphic design, and creative practice.
Through working prototypes, visual studies, and documented methods, I explore where AI expands possibility, where human judgment matters most, and what emerging tools mean for designers, teams, and education.
The work is exploratory. The goal is to develop useful approaches and contribute to the standards that will shape our profession.
Questions guiding the Lab
Design and creative judgment
How can AI expand visual exploration while designers retain control over ideas, authorship, and craft? I’m interested in comparing approaches and examining what makes an outcome distinctive, useful, and appropriate to its audience.
Teams and creative operations
Where can AI reduce repetitive work and create more room for strategic thinking? The focus is on practical workflows, clear responsibilities, and meaningful ways to evaluate quality and effort.
Teaching and the next generation
What do designers need to learn as the tools evolve? I’m exploring how critique, experimentation, and critical thinking can help students question outputs and make defensible creative decisions.
A practice built on transparency
As experiments are published, I’ll document the question, my role, the tools, the decisions, and the limitations. Any claims about time saved or quality improved will be grounded in what was actually observed. Experimental work will be identified separately from client work.
The Lab is taking shape. This page introduces its direction; documented experiments will follow.
