Challenge

NFHA needed to bring technologists, policymakers, researchers, financial professionals, and civil-rights advocates together around responsible AI. The 2025 symposium also needed a cohesive identity across a complex three-day event, with a tight production schedule and many digital and physical touchpoints.

Strategy

The design task was to make a technically complex subject feel like one coherent event experience. We planned the identity across the attendee journey, from promotion and registration through on-site navigation and programming to recap videos. Shared templates helped speakers, sponsors, and event teams present information consistently.

Creative Approach

The visual direction connected the “AI in Government” theme with NFHA’s established identity. Purple and yellow, technology-inspired graphics, and a custom event logo created a recognizable system that could work on a registration screen, speaker template, printed program, or large stage backdrop.

The Approach

Insight into ideas.
Ideas into experience.

Connect the Theme to the Organization

Translate the responsible-AI theme into an event identity grounded in NFHA’s palette and mission. Balance a technology-forward expression with the credibility of a civil-rights organization.

Design the Attendee Journey

Extend the system across promotional materials, registration, the event app, programs, signage, and stage environments. Each format needed to support a specific moment in the experience.

Build for Many Contributors

Speaker, sponsor, and session templates gave the wider team a common design language. Production coordination kept the identity consistent across digital and physical materials.

Extend the Event’s Life

Hatcher’s multimedia team captured interviews and event footage for three recap videos, carrying the symposium’s ideas beyond the room.
